Recall: Bumbo Baby Seats

There is yet another Bumbo seat recall to tell you about. If you remember, back in 2007, there was a voluntary recall on these seats to advise caregivers on the risk of using this seat on raised surfaces. Due to more incidents of infants falling while sitting on a raised surface, Bumbo is issuing another recall and providing a FREE repair kit which includes a restraint belt with a warning label, installation instructions, safe use instructions and a new warning sticker.

Order the free repair kit by visiting www.recall.BumboUSA.com or calling (866) 898-4999 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Thursday and between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. CT on Friday. Please do not return the Bumbo seat to retailers as they will not be able to provide the repair kit.

The repair kit can’t cure stupid. When will these parents stop doing dumb things? It is very clear on the box/instructions that this should not be used on a raised surface. When my son is in his (on the floor only!), I don’t even leave his side because I’m afraid he’ll fall out if he gets bored.
