Missing SbNR’s Deals on Facebook? Here’s Why…

As many of you know, in the past few months, Facebook has undergone some big changes. What you may not be aware of is that Facebook’s changes have hugely impacted fan pages. In order to be alerted of deals that are posted throughout the day,  a large number of you have chosen to “Like” Spoiled but Not Rotten on Facebook. However, Facebook is making it very difficult for the majority of you to see the deals. For every deal that I post, only 4 – 6% of you actually see the post!

Why are they doing this? Well, I believe it is to get people to use the “Promote” feature that Facebook has rolled out. Using the “Promote” feature would require me to PAY Facebook in order for a select number of you to see my posts – as much as $75 or more PER POST!  Obviously, I cannot afford to dish out that much money for you to see the deals, nor do I believe that I should have to. If you “Like” a page, then you should be able to see all the posts, right?!?

Unfortunately, I cannot go and change the way Facebook works, so I have come up with a few solutions that will (hopefully) allow you to see the deals as they are posted.

  1. I have created a Spoiled but Not Rotten Facebook Group. Everyone that joins should be able to see ALL the posts. You can also modify how you receive notifications on the page. Join here for FREE.
  2. Follow SbNR on other social networking sites such as Twitter or Google+
  3. Add SbNR to your RSS Reader.

Many of the deals that are posted, especially during the holiday shopping season, are short-lived. Following SbNR using any of the above methods should allow you to see the deals immediately after they are posted. However, deals can easily be missed, so I recommend signing up for our daily newsletter as well. Each newsletter goes out once a day around 5pm and includes all the posts for that particular day. It is a great way to make sure you haven’t missed anything! You can sign up for our email newsletter here.

  2. There’s a search feature in the group — that could come in really handy!
