Recall: Trumpette Baby Socks Due to Choking Hazard

trumpette Trumpette is recalling their “Aubree’s” and “Hearts” style baby socks. The bows and flowers on the socks can come off, causing  a choking hazard.

Recall Alert: Target Circo & Xhilaration Children’s PJ Sets + Bugaboo Strollers

There are a couple  new recalls to tell you about this afternoon:

Target has recalled their Children’s Two-Piece Pajama Sets due to violation of federal flammability standards. This recall involves both the Circo and Xhilaration children’s PJ line that was sold at Target between August 2012 and November 2012. To see a full list of all the affected pajama sets, visit Target.com. All items affected in the recall can be returned to Target for a full refund.

Bugaboo has issued a recall of their Bugaboo Cameleon and Bugaboo Donkey Model Strollers due to fall and choking hazards. A button located on the stroller’s handle can become disengaged, causing the handle to detach. Once detached, this poses a fall and choking hazard to young children. Affected models of the Bugaboo Cameleon were sold between September 2009 and June 2012. Affected models of the Bugaboo Donkey were sold between January 2011 and December 2012. If you have either of these strollers, you are instructed to remove the handle immediately and contact Bugaboo at (800) 460-2922 or Bugaboo.com for a FREE replacement handle.

Recall: Fisher Price Rock ‘n Play Infant Sleepers

Here is a recall that will surely affect many of you! Fisher Price has recalled the Rock ‘n PLay Infant Sleepers to inspect for exposure to mold. When infrequently cleaned or when it remains wet/moist,  mold can develop between the seat cushion and the plastic frame of the sleeper.

Consumers should immediately check for mold under the removable seat cushion. Dark brown, gray or black spots can indicate the presence of mold. Consumers are advised to stop using the product if mold is found. Consumers can contact Fisher-Price at 1-800-432-5437 for cleaning instructions or further assistance.

Two new Dream On Me recalls were announced today:

Dream on Me Bath Seats have been recalled due to drowning hazards. Recalls: Dream on Me Infant Swing & Dream on Me High Chairs

Two different Dream on Me products have been recalled this evening:

The Dream on Me Happy Swing II Infant Swings have been recalled for strangulation hazard. The opening between the tray and seat or the grab bar and seat may allow a child’s body to pass through and pose a strangulation hazard. The model number affected is 432. Consumers should contact Dream on Me at 877-201-4317 to get your choice of replacement swing or Melody Musical Baby Walker.

The Dream on Me Bistro High Chairs have also been recalled due to strangulation hazard.  A child can slide through the front openings between the tray and seat bottom and become entrapped at the neck. The model number affected is 255. Consumers should contact Dream on Me at 877-201-4317 for instructions on receiving a new high chair.

Recall: Graco Classic Wood Highchair

Graco has issued a recall on their Classic Wood Highchairs. The high chair’s seat can loosen or detach from the base, posing a fall hazard to the child.

This recall involves all Graco brand Classic Wood Highchairs sold in three wood finishes. The high chair has a top seat, bottom leg assembly and removable tray. The high chair is sold with a beige fabric seat cover. Model number 3C00BPN, 3C00BPN TC, 3C00CHY, 3C00CHY TC, 3C00CPO or 3C00CPO TC is printed on a label on the underside of the seat assembly.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled high chairs and contact Graco at 800 – 345-4109 for a free repair kit.

Recall: Bumbo Baby Seats

There is yet another Bumbo seat recall to tell you about. If you remember, back in 2007, there was a voluntary recall on these seats to advise caregivers on the risk of using this seat on raised surfaces. Due to more incidents of infants falling while sitting on a raised surface, Bumbo is issuing another recall and providing a FREE repair kit which includes a restraint belt with a warning label, installation instructions, safe use instructions and a new warning sticker.
