Here is yet ANOTHER Tylenol Recall, this one involves Infants’ Tylenol due to complaints about the difficulties of using the dosing system. Tylenol states that the flow restrictor can be pushed into the bottle when inserting the syringe.
The recall applies to one-ounce bottles of grape-flavored Infants’ Tylenol Oral Suspension. Tylenol states the consumers can keep using the product as long as the flow restrictor remains in place at the top of the bottle.
Consumers can request a refund by visiting www.tylenol.com or contacting McNeil at 1-888-222-6036 (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time; Saturday-Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time).

Yet another Johnson & Johnson recall to tell you about – this one is for Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Lotion. The recalled tube was found to contain more of a form of bacteria than allowed. The bacteria, coagulase-negative Staphylococci, is a family of bacteria that naturally occurs in the environment. Johnson & Johnson has stated that the potential for adverse health effects are remote and that consumers who have bought the affected product can still use it.
The recall affects on single lot of Aveeno Baby Calming Lotion, specifically lot number 0161LK. The tubes of lotion were sold in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas. If you would like to receive a refund, consumers can call 877-298-2525.

Britax has issued a voluntary recall of the Chaperone Infant Car Seat. Although there are no reported injuries, the rivet used to attach the harness adjuster to the shell may have been improperly installed and could possibly detach from the shell. If the harness adjuster were to detach from the car seat shell, the harness straps would not secure your child properly, resulting in increased risk of injury if you were in a crash.
Affected models were manufactured between September 1, 2010 and April 30, 2011, and include the following model numbers: E9L692J, E9L692K, E9L692L, E9L692M, E9L952J, E9L952K, and E9L952L.
Britax is providing a remedy kit which includes a harness adjuster and instructions for installing it. If you registered your Chaperone, affected seat owners will automatically receive a remedy kit and the instructions.

There has been a voluntary recall of the Build-a-Bear Colorful Hearts Teddy Bears due to a choking hazard. The teddy bear’s eyes could loosen and fall out, posing a choking hazard to children. The affected Colorful Hearts Teddy Bears is a stuffed bear about 16 inches in height with black plastic eyes. The bear’s fabric covering is printed with multi-colored heart shapes.No injuries have been reported.
Consumers should immediately take the recalled teddy bear from children and return it to any Build-A-Bear store to receive a coupon for any available stuffed animal from Build-A-Bear.

Walmart has issued a voluntary recall of Enfamil infant formula after a death of a baby in Missouri due to a bacterial infection. The recalled Enfamil Newborn powder infant formula has a lot number of ZP1K7G. It is not clear if this particular lot number has been sold at other retailers. Enfamil is stating that this lot tested negative for this particular bacterium before it shipped, however, tests are currently being conducted to see if the death was a result of the formula or other factors. Note that this is not yet a federal recall, only a voluntary Walmart recall. Depending on the outcome of the product testing, the product could go back on the shelves.
Walmart said affected customers can returned the recalled powdered formula from lot number ZP1K7G for a refund or call Enfamil directly at 1-800-BABY-123, for more information.

The Twirlla Wooden Rattle is being recalled by the Manhattan Group. The toy’s U-shaped parts can break off, posing a choking hazard. The Twirlla Wooden Rattle was sold at baby, gift and specialty stores nationwide and online at ManhattanToy.com from March 2011 through July 2011 for around $12. If you have one of these rattles, please take this away from your child immediately and return it to the store where it was purchased to receive a full refund.

There has been a voluntary recall of the Little People Builders Load ‘n Go Wagon due to a laceration hazard. The back of the wagon’s plastic handle has molded-in reinforcement. This design adds stiffness and facilitates children gripping the handle. The handle poses a laceration hazard if a child falls on it. This recall involves the Fisher Price’s Little People Builders’ Load ‘n Go Wagon model number P8977 which was sold at mass merchandise retail stores nationwide from June 2009 through July 2011 for about $25. Also on the recall list this morning is the phil&teds Explorer and Hammerhead Strollers. Affected serial numbers include 0610/0001 to 0111/4788 (June 2010, unit #1, to January 2011, unit #4788). Both strollers were sold only and in specialty retailers in the United States and Canada from August 2010 through June 2011 for between $475 and $500.
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact phil&teds to arrange to receive a upgraded brake assembly. Explorer owners will receive a new frame fitted with an upgraded brake assembly. Consumers can perform an in-home swap out of the affected frame. Hammerhead owners will receive a pre-paid return shipping container in order to return the stroller to phil&teds where the brake assembly will be replaced and the stroller returned. Target has issued a recall of their Circo Children’s Task Lamps due to laceration and fire hazards. Lamps may overheat, causing the adhesive inside the lamp socket to melt and migrate into the bulb area of the socket. Attempting to remove the cooled glue could prove to be difficult, resulting in a broken light bulb, posing a laceration risk. Melted flammable glue that makes it way onto the electrical components poses a fire risk.
Four styles of the children’s task lamp are included in this recall:
- Striped (Navy-colored head, with sky blue and white stripes and blue lamp base) UPC 490970221923
- Sports (White head, with baseball stitch pattern and blue lamp base) UPC 490970222685
- Dot (White head, with lines of multicolored dots and lavender lamp base) UPC 490970224047
- Flower Dot (Pink head, with pattern of white flowers and leaves and pink lamp base) UPC 490970221947
These lamps were sold exclusively at Target stores and Target.com from January 2011 to April 2011 for around $13. Consumers should immediately stop using the lamps and return them to any Target store to receive a full refund. Edushape has announced a recalled of their Mini Stars Building Sets due to a potential choking hazard. The plastic knobs can break from the center of the stars, causing young children to choke.
This recall involves Mini Stars building sets. The Mini Stars do not have any markings, codes or logos stamped into the plastic. They were sold in sets of 12, 24, 36, 48 and 72 pieces at stores nationwide between January 2007 and December 2009 for between $10 and $50.
Consumers should immediately take the recalled Mini Star building sets away from children and contact Edushape for a free replacement set or credit towards another Edushape product of equal or lesser value.
